I am Edona Desku, and for many years I have passionately worked as an orthoptist. My career began with training as an optician (EFZ) at Fielmann in Langenthal, where I discovered my enthusiasm for vision and optics. To deepen my expertise, I completed training as a certified orthoptist at the University Hospital Zurich (USZ) Eye Clinic and the Center for Health Education (ZAG) in Winterthur. This intensive time allowed me to gain valuable knowledge in diagnosing and treating visual impairments, strabismus, and eye muscle disorders. During my training, I met Stefan Langenegger, and we enjoyed working together even back then. We look forward to working together again in the future.

In my professional career so far, I have worked for Arztpraxen Net at various locations, particularly at the Eye Center with Dr. Duba and the Vista Eye Clinic. Through this, I was able to gather diverse experiences in different areas of orthoptics and further develop my approach and patience when working with patients.

A special focus of mine is working with children and adolescents. Their natural curiosity and openness enrich my daily work. It is particularly important to me to create a trusting and calming atmosphere for our young patients, where they feel comfortable and safe. With empathy, I address their individual needs and accompany them on their journey to improved vision.
